Careers in TV/Media production?

I am really interested in editing, producing, filming, etc. TV shows, short films, music videos, etc.
What are some career paths that do this? And what college degrees would be useful?

A degree in film or media might be helpful and open more opportunities for you. You could also do it without a degree. In fact, you can get started at your local tv station. They hire entry-level positions that don’t require much experience, just desire.

If you really want to do this, learn as much as you can about the entertainment (TV, film, radio, etc.) because that will help you to survive in this industry. The more skills you know, will help keep food on the table. Get started now. Get your friends together and make your own videos. Volunteer for a/v programs or theater in school. Take any kind of media, creative writing or art class there is.
